It is all 4" PVC schedule 40, I used a 3" to 4" rubber converter for the boot at the throttle body, (just your standard rubber plumbing fitting). The two straight pieces of PVC are 9" coming off the 90 at the throttle body and 7 1/4" coming off the 60 leading to the filter. you will also need a 4" to 4"O.D. reducer to fit into the Spectre filter. This may be different if you go with a different filter brand and not sure these dimensions will work on every model/year truck, however it may just be that you need a different angle corner configuration if it don't. I know it worked for my Buddies 2006 and my 2007 V8 5.7 hemi's. Just look at my pics from the top link and it will all come together nicely. Don't for get to get the grommet mentioned above in the thread , or you can just RTV it in also, but it is nice to be able to remove it if you have to, hence the right grommet... Then you will have to dry fit it all mark it and glue it with PVC Cement, then of course mount it somehow... Think that is all, hope I didn't forget anything, Just ask if you have any other questions man... Post some pics when it's done... Happy Modding......

So...
1- Large Spectre cone filter (any auto store like O'Riley or Auto zone) $49.00
1- 9" piece of PVC
1- 7.25" piece of PVC
1-90
1-60
1- 4" PVC reducer to filter
1- 3"-4" Rubber plumbing boot
1- grommet for a GM Part#65113 found at O'Rielly Auto parts in the HELP section (for the IAT sensor)

Looks good! Better than my first when I kept the factory airbox. Yes, you can hear the intake hollar!! PVC is a little quieter than steel. I learned this with my 3.5" mandrel bent steel pipe intake...

know it's late an wrong to post this in here, but do any of you think that using 45's in stead of 90's would make a difference? i did a home brew and used 45's. but the more i think about it, the inside is kinda chopped up. any opinions? also, how much of a pain is it to get the air box thing out? looks like the wheel well has to be taken out, kinda hoping it doesn't.

As far as the air box goes, it is really easy to get out. You do not need to take the wheel well out, just take the small screws out from the bottom side and you will be able to get your hand behind to loosen up the bolts from the air box. 45's or 90's obviously the straighter the better, however if you use 4" it's really not going to make a difference, however the smaller dia. you go the more it will be a big deal. What ever works for you to get the CIA furthest out of the engine compartment in the shortest distance with the least amount of bends at the best fresh (cold air) spot possible. Really what ever works for you man. My list of parts seems to be pretty spot on to get it to the nose of the truck just between the headlight and coolant overflow.. There is plenty of air that comes in here from the front of the truck.
