Question Magnaflow

Just wanted to get some opinions...I wanna put a Magnaflow dual cat back system on the truck, I believe part number 15863...I found a site named Hottexhaust.com were you can make your own offer on the part in question. I submitted my offer of $550 and I got an email reply declining my offer but countered at $555.21...any thoughts?

performancepeddler.com. Same deal..you offer and they reply..but I know they were better than $555....that was on the 16700 I was lookin at anyhow. I was told the 16851 would work on my 2008. After looking at the kit and my mid pipe,I believe it will not work. The mid pipe on my truck is a straigt shot..and the one in the 16851 has a bend which would relocate the hanger..or off set they stock y exit. the 16700 is a strait mid pipe.

Performance peddler is where I got my magnaflow muffler and magnaflow high flow cats. They have the best prices that I have seen on magnaflow products.

My opinion is that you should cut out and replace the factory y-pipe and muffler w/ magnaflow products. You should be able to have a shop do it for the same or less than the cat back.

Thats what I did. Bought (2) mufflers an X pipe and paid a shop 90 bucks for the pipes and install. Less than 300 for true dual.

yup, brought my muffler to an exhaust guy, paid him $90 to fab me a new Y, and install everything. that is definitely the way to go. trucks already have good stock piping, so why spend over $500 on new pipes? just replace the muffler.

My buddy from high school runs a muffler shop out here. He put my muffler on and new pipe after that cost me $20. I'm gonna have him change out the y shouldn't cost me much. He does all my rides!
