Around where I'm at a 6" lift will set you back about $4000 installed. (A lot of trouble lifting an IFS truck, not really a DIY project) Then you'll have to buy rims and tires, check out prices for rims and 35" tires. Keep in mind you'll need a spare as well

I got the same truck as you and I have gone threw that phase as well. I am 19 with a kid on the way so money is tight around. If you want to lift the front of the truck you should crank your torsion bars first and see if you like that instead of buying a leveling kit. And like some one said you will get tons of ideas such as the 6 inch lift. I saw a truck on another site with a BDS 6 inch lift he had 17 inch aftermarket rims with 37/12.50/17 tires. It looked really good. So don't jump into it right away, you have to look aound before you just waste your money. Hope I helped and welcome to DF!

$4000 OUCH! My brother is good with trucks, he went to school for it. I think he could probably do it, that would cut the cost in half. I will have to look into it some more I guess.

I just don't wanna drive the truck around looking like a pansy lol

If your brother can do the labour, I'd say go for a 3" body lift. Very cheap parts wise, and with a levelling kit you could fit 35" tires. My truck has just the body lift and 34" tires and it looks pretty mean.
Of course, the best attention getter with my truck was when I had 6 foot wide longhorns mounted on the grilleguard. Certainly turns heads lol

I have kind of overlooked Body Lifts the entire time. I figured they would be more expensive since, well, it seems like a lot more goes into them. How much would a decent one cost me, and would it mess anything up with my truck?

Also, would I be able to crank the torsion bars up high enough to get it level?? Could I get 2 inches out of the torsion bar alone?

I got about two inches from cranking my t-bars. I have heard even 3 inches is possiable. Anymore than two is not good on the cvs. You have to get your tires aligned too. Also unless you like a stiff ride you will need longer shocks for the front. You do have a 4x4 right? If not you do not have torsion bars.

Yep I sure do have a 4x4. I think I will be able to live with a bit stiffer ride.

Just how bad will the tires be?? I have read some places that an alignment isn't necessarily needed afterwards

I would align them soon after you crank. Your tires will lean in on the bottom causing the tread on the outter part of the tire to wear faster. That's what happened to mine.
