Default Debadge?

What is the purpose of debadging the trucks? Are y'all embarrassed to be in a RAM? I guess it is just something I don't get.

It makes it look cleaner, especially for people who don't want chrome accents

Embarrassed? HELL no. I just like it smooth. It does make it easier to wash and wax...but not enough to make me debadge it just for that. Honestly, I didn't like it when I first saw it, but it started to grow on me. And now I think it looks sweet. Around here at least, it's something different. I have only seen maybe 2 other rams here that are debadged.

I still kept my front and rear Ram head badges. Although, if they weren't so freakin' expensive I'd love to replace them with custom billet badges.

Just wondering if anyone has had issues after debadging of still seeing lettering from paint fade after? I'm thinking about doing it, but just afraid the years my '02 sat out in the sun when I didn't have a garage!

What color is your truck? On my silver '05 all I had was an outline where the dirt and grime were embedded around the letters/numbers. I used a little bit of Meguiars ColorX and it disappeared. But that part probably depends on the truck and the color.

I hate chrome more than anything. So I remove the emblems. And I am by no means embarassed by being in a RAM. Rams are the best trucks on the road no doubt in my mind. If somebody doesn't know what kind of car I drive unless it has emblems, then they know nothing about cars and I have no business talking "trucks" with them.
