i ordered a hood for my 2nd gen viper cowl, its funtional .. nobdy in the 2nd gen has an answer , and i know alot of you guys have new hoods.

how much did you guys pay to have it painted , nad hw long did it take to get to your house from the day that it was ordered ? i ordered it last tues and still dont have a conformation that it was shipped ?

 

hoods usually ship truck freight and may take up to 2 weeks sometimes depending who is transporting it and where it's coming from.
Price will depend on the condition of the hood and who made it. If it's factory then it'll be pretty cheap, but aftermarket fiberglass hoods generally need a bit of work to get in shape for paint. Very tough to assume a price on a fiberglass hood. Could range anywhere's from $300-900.
I purchased a hood for my mustang a few years back. I got quotes for $780 and $920 from 2 diff places.
I sold that hood and picked up another. Got a quote for $540 and $680 from the same 2 places because the hood was in much better shape but the initial cost was more because it was a quality hood. I ended up having a buddy paint it for $100. He owed me a favor.

 

400 to get mine painted... avg is 300-400 unless u know the guy...
