Dumped super flow 40 series or banks monster exhaust
I have a flowmaster superflow 40 series on my 06 megacab but I was thinking about gettin the banks monster exhaust kit would I be able to tell a difference other than sound and how much different would the sound be? The sound isn't really a concern just performance! I have 37 nitto mud terrains so I can't hear that much over them if any of y'all have heard them you know haha
some would say that a catback is a waste of money since are trucks have pretty good piping stock cept for the y pipe. i dont know about banks, but lx is right about them flowmasters, they have a tendency to rust out quick and some studies show that they flow worst than stock. i had a super 44 and swapped it out for a cb extreme and noticed some power back according to my but dyno. magnaflow is another favorite but i felt the need to be more obnoxious
I have a 2007 1500 hemi with dual in dual out 50 series flowmaster dumped before the rear axle. Its not loud enough for me and i'm going to go with the super 40 series but I have one question. I have true duals with no y pipe and both cats going into a dual in dual out 50 series. Should I keep the 2 in 2 out and just get the super 40 series or is there a benefit to going single in dual out? Whats the difference of dual in dual out or single in dual out if I already have true duals?

Lot of better choices out there for the same or less money that sound as good or better. Every kid gets a Flowmaster because they sound badass and brand recognition, but NO performance guys touch them. Flowmaster spends more in advertising than all other muffler manufacturers combined.
Magnaflows are stainless and have great flow, Borlas flow great and are a bit more aggressive sounding. Cherry Bomb (Glasspacks, Extreme or Vortex series) flow much better than a Flowmaster and sound much better to me. My CB Extreme has all my neighbors hoping I'm taking my Grand Cherokee out and leaving the truck parked when I leave in the morning. It's THAT LOUD!!!
There really isn't much difference in going 2/2 or 1/2 unless your using a restrictive "Y" on the 1/2. Personal preference...

Hey you're the only one that gave me good feedback on my question so I would like to take your advice. When I bought the truck last year it had 2 glasspacks on it. They cut both resonators off, cut the y off, left both the cats and ran tips straight out the back. It was blatty and did not sound good. I just cut the glasspacks off and went with a knockoff 2/2 50 series flowmaster dumped right before the axle. My buddy talked me into going louder so thats what i'm doing. I just now learned about backpressure and i DO NOT want to lose any hp from my hemi. I don't care about increasing hp and I really just want it to sound meaty and deep at all rpms. I want to keep the dump before the axle. Would i benefit from going true duals? ( two 1/1 40 series)
