Default Tail Pipes...ugly???

Okay, other than the bumpers that actually form to the tail pipes...I think seeing the exhaust is an insult to the body line of the vehicle.

Any one with me on this?

When I was in high school 93-96 everybody had a lifted 70's Chevy with a flowmaster and turndowns.

I really thought they looked good without the pipes (dual or not).

I plan on turnin mine down just before the rear axle. Any thoughts on the site lines?

i like my tips out the back , they need to be centered and clean. i can't stand guys that have pips showing and they look like he just threw them on with superglue, also you get less cab noise when they are shooting out the back/side

heres mine from the side

i think its personal preference. Im with marx, though; when you tip them they should be flush with the bumper or quarter panel, not sticking out.
Here are the ones on mine and I really like them:

Yeah still looks pointless to me. I had duals on my old IROC and I loved the look of them then...but I think I'd turn those down if I had to do it again.

I do it for the sound. I think the clean no show look is best, but I like the sound. Before these I had 18" echo tips. My truck was louder than a truck dumped at the axle

Obviously it is a personal preference. What I think is lowered trucks look better without the pipes showing.

also it could be bad going in heavy snow with turn downs, like if you park your truck and it snows heavy up to rocker panels, the truck might not start, kinda like a banana in the tail pipe trick.
just thinking out loud but could be talking out of my a** tho lol

also i like any thing that it done right!

I like the look of straight out the back, but agree that they have to be straight, and clean. If you're not gonna take care of them, keep them hidden.

I agree they have to be placed on the right spots on the bumper...not too close but not too far apart either...but I really dont like the pipes that come out at an angle right behind the tires
