Hey all here's a little vid I put together from my Iphone clips of the 2010 Preble County Fair Tug a Truck,Dodge took 1st and 2nd in the 9500lb class, and they did well in the other classes too.
I think it's a growing "sport" I happen to live in a "farming" county so there's a high percentage of truck folks,This years top prize was $1000,next year is gonna be $10,000 so I figure it's gonna be getting alot more popular soon.
That's pretty wild - kind of like a tractor pull, with another truck instead of the sled. Do they have many KB's? I would expect something to break now and then.
Seems to me that traction would be extremely important. If you can get your 407 lb/ft of torque to the ground, you'll pull the 650 lb/ft that can't get any grip.
It would be interesting to see what techniques they use to get that traction. Weight, tires, gearing, locking differentials, etc.
We do the same thing at an Event that I MC at called Hanks 4X4 Jamboree it is a weekend full of "back to back" pulls, Truck Pulls, Tough Truck races, Dirt Drags & Mud Bogs and of course we have a couple Monster Trucks ain't no redneck event with out a monster truck...LOL
