Magnaflow muffler review
Just had a Magnaflow muffler # 12279 5x8x24 (30" overall) installed. Ran new 3" pipe from y-pipe to behind right rear just like the OEM set-up and got rid of the junk that was on when I bought the truck. Also, a Magnaflow 4" OD tip went on as well.
How did it turn out? Love it. Sounds good under power like one would want, but at cruising speed it is very quiet. NO DRONE. From 1500 to 2000 rpm it is almost like stock. Lean on the gas and it starts to make noise again.
Very happy with it. I would recommend it for anyone looking for more sound but wants good hyway quietness. Sorry, no pics at this time, but I will say it looks good!
