yeha they r all universal so i know it would work the smt6 has already been used before but they stopped making it and went to the smt8 now, but i just wanted to make sure i wasnt wasting my money you know....i found a smt8 new user kit for 299 shipped so i am gonna buy it i belive.....i need to get a gm 3 bar map sensor or a motarola 2.5 bar and some ford blue 39's and i should be good to tune right ?

 

can you use a micromax superchip and the smt8 together to raise the limiter and speed limiter and trans shifting and use the smt8 to tune for a map and injectors ?

 

Yes. I am using a 3815 Flashpaq for the above and for data logging. Specifically the knock sensors and LT / ST fuel trims.

 

ok cool my tuner is the first one that came out though, it does the speed limiter and rev, and scans codes along with tranny shifts, so i can do that and the smt8.....thats what i like to hear!!!

do you have any ford 39# injectors or map sensor i can buy off you or know anyone who has some...?

 

sorry stand corrected it does not do tranny stuff, it is the maxmicro 3717 i belive like the very first tuner for 03 hemi.....

 

i was just thinking the same thing. cause i would love to STS my truck, but also, i wanna do it my way and not dump a load a cash. plus, i could tune for anything....

yeah im getting ford #39 injectors and the smt8 set up for under 400 shipped for it all.....im gonna use either a gm 3 bar map sensor or a srt4 stock 2.5 bar map....idk yet which ever is cheaper, i got almost everything for the turbo setup except piping and the wastgate and oil pump for the return oil line

 

The SRT-4 MAP sensor needs to be mounted on a proper machined base while the GM sensor can be mounted anywhere with a 1/8" vacuum line running to it. Get the GM style. (same style that Autometer gauges use)
