so i dont wanna buy a 4 grand turbo kit when i know how to make one cheaper than that and just as good if not better !!! Ima deal shopper, i just bought a 81 mm BRAND NEW BORG WARNER turbo for 250 shipped !!! and its a real BW ! Got a HKS bov already new in a box, im hunting a 44mm or 60 mm wastegate. Any one ever done this before, i am build a kit similar to a STS kit but doing it myself. i have a good piping guy to do it all for me i and doing the other main stuff. Anyone know of a tuner i can tune on ? and aftermarket injectors? I heard the diablo tuner is the one i can tune my truck with and tune it all myself. Anybody got input on this ????

 

Yeah sometimes it is cheaper to buy things separate IF you know what you are looking for AND know what you are doing. As for the Diablo, yes you can use them. Either of the Diablo Predator or Trinity will work but I would get the Trinity personally.

you know what the stock injectors max out at ? and which tuner has more tuning ability i need the best i can get, and yeah i build alot of turbo cars on the side but this is the first turbo v8 hemi ill be doing

Well i know the 6.1 injectors are 30#'s

I think the 5.7's are around 26#'s

You can buy 6.1 injectors all day over on the LX forum

I have a ton of experience with this. I can help. I have put my own STS type systems together. Regarding fuel, you have two ways to go. 1. get a proper dialed in tune by a pro, or get good at datalogging and email tunes back/forth to someone like a SCT, SC or whatnot. Other way is to add 2 additional injectors in the charge pipe and control them with an aux. controller (this is the easiest way to have full control if you ask me on a DIY level.

weill i dont mind tuning on a dyno with a shop but who does tuning close to greenville sc ? and what all is involved with adding aditional injectors ? and im not touching my motor as it only has about 60 k on it now so its fairly new but i heard you can do about 525 orclose to 600 hp with a good tuner man !!! so the only thing im worried about is tuning and injectors and fuel pump ? the rest of the kit im pretty sure i got it on lock, but where can i feed the turbo oil from off the motor ?
