Default Mudding with a $840 price tag

off roading is one of the coolest things to do in a truck unless you end up paying out the nose to repair the damage. was on a muddy road that had been rutted to heck. after i got her washed i noticed the front end was doin some funny stuff. under heavy braking it was shaking a ton and even at light braking the steering wheel wobbled so i figured ok warped rotors and a possible alignment issue. took it to the stealership and told them the problems.
they called me yesterday with some bad news, warped front rotors, bad wheel bearing, and my alignment was .54 passenger side .68 driver side. yeah $840. there goes my grille guard money. lol

You could do the rotors yourself and save a ton of money. Any other shop other than the stealership would probably cost half to do the bearing and alignment. I would look into having it done at another shop.

Could replace the wheel hub yourself also. None of is is hard to do and can all be done at home in the drive way except the alignment which should be no more than 60 +/-

Just replace the rotors, ride the bad alignment for an excuse to get bigger tires, and wait till you can hear the wheel bearing...NO, I'm kidding about the wheel bearing.

X3 no wait 4. Dude do it yourself if not too late. What actually warped the rotors in the first place? And aren't bearings sealed?? Just thinking out loud.

i could easily do it all myself if i wasnt at college. i do all the mods in my gpas shop but thats 3 hours away and i cant go back there until thanksgiving break because of football. as for taking it to another shop im **** out of luck too. theres only a few places here in town that do work like this and they are a bit sketch.

Man, if there's an autozone near you, just go rent the tools for free with a small deposit and do it in your parking lot with a couple of your football buds. Then just get an alignment. Hell, there are coupons in the paper 'round here for $30 bucks all day long. Just throwing out some ideas man. Tryin' to save a college man some bucks man.

I'm with everyone else. I'd rather have some buddies help me fix everything and spend $50 on an alignment than be out $840 freakin dollars. Thats ridiculous man. Plus you get the satifaction and peace of mind that its done right to your liking.
