SUp dudes, if i remember right i think i have heard someone on here talk about tinting their head lights or taillights? Well i called around to get some prices on tinting my taillights and everyone around says it cant be done...... If it can does it require a certain type of tint? thanks alot guys.

lamin-x is the film you can lay over your headlights to tint them, ive seen it on a few rams and it looked good. You have an 06 so you can do it on the tails also, no ***** sticking out like mine

I debated on doing it for awhile and called all over to get it done, nobody wanted to try with tint OR vinyl. I sprayed em and glad I did it that way now.The heads look SO much more custom and the tails look great also

 

so u painted urs? what did u spray them with? there was one guy that said he would try and i asked for an estimate and he wouldnt give me one so i said screw that, i dont pay someone by the hour i pay them a straight fee, learnt that lesson real quick back in the day

 

i used metrodecals smoked vinyl to do my tails it was 24.99 for a 36" x 24" sheet it did all 3 tails and i had left overs, it was fairly easy for me to do....they sell it on ebay search stores....

yea hoss, i couldnt do vinyl due to my tails..but i looked into it and it looks good and its fairly easy

A lot of guys use VHT Niteshades. I did my tails this way and they turned out good. It's available at auto stores like o'reilly's, autozone, etc. You can also use the vinyl like mentioned.

If you just want to order them Unique Coatings does amazing work. They have done quite a few headlights and taillights for members on here and DT. For heads they can do everything from paint, HID/projector retrofit, Angel Eyes, tint, etc.
