I used to not think that a $300 (roughly) tuner could make a "seat of the pants" difference. A LOT of guys would buy a tuner then **** and moan when their truck didn't pick up two seconds in the 1/4 mile or gain 5 mpg. This ain't like dropping a few grand into a blower or heads or the like.

But I've kinda changed my tune a bit since Superchips released tranny tuning and TM control. You reduce TM a good bit and make them shifts a bit more aggressive and it IS "seat of the pants" different!!!

I compared the diablo sport and superchips in this thread
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...omparison.html

I really like my DiabloSport Trinity. All of the adjustable features of the DSP and real time ******* gauges like trans temp make it well worth the $$ in my opinion

I have to agree that Superchips has been on their game over the last few years versus Diablo. Now if SC would get into custom tuning try would dominate IMO. But for whatever reason they choose not to.

However, if you are ever looking to get custom tuned for max power or a bigger cam them IMO Diablo is the best bet. As all said before, there are lots of threads on this.

SC has always been concerned with CARB compliance, so has resisted custom tuning. So yes, even though I believe SC is the strongest right now as far as "canned tunes" goes, the best options for a HIGHLY modified vehicle would be Diablo or SCT.
However, I've had a few "interactions" with some people at SC, and I'll say that there are indications that something might be in the works for "off-road use only" from SC...

Off topic I know but I have the new guys at KRC tell me SCT was coming out with trans support but I have yet to see it.
