Default 06 megacab HEMI with 150,000 on it

I was wondering what kind of engine life i have left. I just drove for 9 hours about 500 miles and it seemed fine only 13.8 mpg though.

engine life is dependant upon numerous things. How ell it's been maintained, it's use, whether it was used for towing/hauling, highway or city, dusty area, cold/warm climates...etc The list goes on forever man.

The MPG's are all you will get with that heavy of a truck.

Well, there's more to the truck than just the engine. Transmision, differentials, wheel bearings, suspension componetns...etc.

I would change as many fluid as possible BEFORE you have issue's.
I would pull a random plug nd see how they look since they are due every 30kmi. Only baic copper plugs should be used(qty.16 on the hemi)

You probably have about 100 miles left. However, Ill tell you what ill do, I will give you $1000 cash for it right now, Even despite its really rough shape.

HAHA, No being serious now, Most likely if it was well maintained it could easily reach the 300K Mark or more.

i bought mine with 120k. only thing that makes me worry is the ticking. i'm pretty sure its the lifters which is common for a hemi. when i get some cash i'll be rippin off the heads and cleaning her up. if the pistons look gnarly i'll be boring it. but main thing i wanna do is throw the 6.1 lifters which i believe solves the lifter issue.... just be sure to change the oil and feed her 89 octane... mine had 87 all its life so thats why i'm expecting some nasty pistons... from what i understand, the Hemi's can kick it for 250plus without to much of a loss of power

thanks for the input. I have changed every fluid to Royal Purple. I did the spark plugs a few weeks ago. I doesn't have any real signs of wear. I even did the compression check on it and came out good. I have a tick as well. I will just wait for her to blow and buy a new engine. I do need some new tires I will probably just go with the Nittos if I can find the size I want. I was looking for 315/70/17. I think that is about a 35 it looks like the will fit without a lift.

Just keep up on the reg maintenance. Even if you have to put $5k into that truck you still got yourself one hell of a deal. What are the specifics? 1500/2500? 4x4/4x2? And pics are always a MUST around here..

Its a 1500 TRX 4x4 I have no idea what the hell TRX means. I will get my pic on here soon. I got rid of a GMC 2500 for it. Best move I have made. The room in the back is amazing. I dont have to deal with my kids kicking the back of my seat now.
