Default Which flowmaster?

Ok i have an 08 ram 1500 5.7l hemi and i am going to pit a flowmaster dual exhaust but i cant decide which muffler to get. I want it to be a loud rumble that DOES NOT sound like some drag racer goin down the road. Tell me which one u think is louder and better between the super 44 and the super 40 and plz attach audios and videos if u have them plz

I would go with the 40 series. I had the super 44 on my last truck and now have the 40 series on mine currently. I like the sound of the 40 more. Get on youtube and listen to some sound clips though. that should help you decide there are a ton of vidoes.

Don't know of too many people with flowmasters. Most people on here seem to lean towards Magnaflow or Cherrybomb exhaust I think.

You are gonna hate Flowmasters on an MDS equipped Hemi, most people I know who went with FMs yanked them off either because of the drone, annoying sound of MDS kicking on/off or the really sh*tty cfm rate and decreased performance they give.

Plenty of mufflers out there that sound at least as good as a Flowmaster, with much better flow, no drone and that won't rust out in the first two years...

IMO, if you are set on a FM then get the 40 series but let it be a Delta 40 because they are less noisy inside the cab than the regular 40 series

MDS = Cylinder deactivation.

Personally, if it was me and I was going to a dual muffler system, I'd stick a pair of $35 Cherry Bomb Glass Packs on it and call it a day...

I have 50's bud, I have no issue's with rust. The sound at wot is impressive and at idle quite tame imo. (Ilike it that way). I picked fm's strictly for the price. they do offer stainless steel now but are pricey. just like anything you mod with. You get what you pay for!! Borlas are good but expensive, cherry bombs are to obnoxious for my taste. But hey , it;s your truck. Lotta bias's on exhaust mufflers, live and learn I guess.
