Chrysler is replacing my 03 Ram cracked dash!!!

Cracked Dash
About two weeks ago I got into my 2003 Ram to go to work and I noticed several cracks running front to back on the dash. As I was driving a large chunk simply dropped out of the dash and down into the glove compartment. I would love to get a copy of the paper work the OP got from Dodge.

2003 2500 HD...Early this year i had one small crack near the passenger door of my dash.. Now I have 2 more large cracks dead center of my dash. Under 50K miles and very well maintained truck. I would love to see this work order so i can get this fixed. It really sux to have a truck as clean as this one, and 3 nasty looking cracks when you get inside...Has anyone else went through with this and got it fixed besides TolarRam??

Since Dodge seems to think that us little guys have no power or influence i have dedicated myself to seeing that the word gets out that Dodge does not stand behind it's product and that Ram Tough means "Tough Luck ". I don't know about the rest of you but I paid good money (lots of it) for this truck and all I want is my money's worth.

Alright, well i sent Dodge and E-mail through their Main Web page and within 2 days i had a call from a dodge rep that was assigned my claim number. I have to take my truck to my local dealer for them to take pictures...They then send the pictures to dodge so they can approve the fix of my 2003 Ram.
So there is hope for now....

This is for all of you with dodge rams that have cracked and or cracking dashes. I have an 03 ram 3500 4x4 Laramie with 120000 miles. The truck is well maintained. About a year ago, it got a crack on the dash...I thought no big deal,,well now it has has many many more cracks. After doing some research on the Internet,I discovered like so many of you that this is a well known and documented problem with these dashes. Well I called Chrysler and stood my ground....I took the truck to my dealer to verify the problem etc.....well the dealer called me today and said it will be replaced by Chrylser...all I have to pay is 100.00 dollars. They are replacing both dash pieces. A precedent has now been set....once I get the truck back and have my copy of the invoice....I can scan and email it to anyone that needs it....so you can call Chrysler and get them to fix yours.....
A truck that cost as much as a ram should have a dash that last more than 5-7 years....

I called Dodge about 4 or 5 months ago, complained about by defroster vent piece cracked down the middle. Basically told me too bad, nothing they would do about it, not under warranty. Yeah, so I was PO, didn't get anywhere with them. Since then ordered both pieces ( defroster piece and main dash cap) from dash covers plus. I have only installed the defroster piece so far. Just went ahead and bought both as sooner or later, both will crack. Plus if you order separately, they charge you the high cost of the shipping twice so just bit the bullet and bought both to save on shipping.
