Default 6" lifts

So i posted in the "wanted" ads about a lift and am not sure if that was the right place or not so i'm just gonna post here to.....hope thats ok. I have a 05 ram 1500 4x4 and am in the market for a 6" lift. I hear alot of people talk about the BDS kit but at $2100, thats kinda steep in my books. Whats the best kit in you guys opinion and wheres the best place to purchase it from. Thaought about getting it from a local shop to save the hassle of shipping but maybe you guys have some insight. I'm not really a heavy off roader so i'm sure that matters. Thanks in advance

I have a rough country 6" suspension on my 02 Dodge. It is a very solid kit and the little time I have spent off road seems very strong. My truck is only a 2wd so I can only comment on that, but I am sure that its just as strong as 4wd. I payed 1100.00 shipped to the place that installed it.

I have a 6" BDS suspension kit, steering stablizer upgrade, and rear leaf upgrade instead of blocks. Installed was $3,200, but the trucks rides amazing most that ride in my truck say it rides better than stock.

The local guy who has really good reputations with Dodges says he can do the 6" BDS unit with the blocks out back for $2500 and thats including aligned and taxs. He talked to me about Zone kits. They are a torsion bar drop unit though and i'm not too sure about that. It's also listed as a 5" kit but the local guy says it's actually a 6" kit. He said BDS actually makes Zone but it sells for substaintually less........like $1800 for that kit intstalled and aligned. All i gotta go is decide. lol

All i can say is i have had the kit since april and i couldn't be happier. I have had no issues and who can complain about the lifetime no hassel warranty BDS has; you break it you send the piece in and get a new one no questions asked. i should mention the $3,200 i paid was with an alignment also.

Thats cool................i talked with a guy at another local auto acces. shop and he said he actually sells the BDS lift to the previous guy i had mentioned above. He shot me a killer price of $2410 for the unit, install, and alignment so i guess thats thats the deal breaker here. Just gotta wait for the truck to get out of the shop.
