Default How do I identify LSD

After reading the threads on LSD clip issues, I am concerned about the truck I recently purchased, how can I tell if I am equipped with LSD?

You could always just hold the break mash the gas and see what happens!

Not true. I have an open diff on my 02, and when I do that both tires spin.

AJOSSY, open your glove box. There is a sticker in there, and it will say something about Chrysler Corporate 9.25 axle, and your gear ratio. If you have LSD, somewhere around that info it will say "anti spin".

If the glove box sticker is missing, put one rear wheel on slippery, the other on dry. Goose it. If it moves, it has LSD. If the slippery wheel spins, it's a peg-leg. If you punch it, the slippery wheel will spin, LSD or not.

When you next open your differential cover....look inside for the clutch packs.
100% guarteed you will then know, if you have an LSD or not?

You can also get a VIN sheet from the dealer that will tell you everything that came with your truck

**moved to the 3rd Gen General Section due to no technical issues**
