Has anyone run the PML deep trans pan the one that holds about 2 quarts more then stock? I have a '03 2500 4wd and heard you need to drop the exaust pipe lower. Is this easy to do, and how?

I believe you would have to do that for the PML pan, but mag-hytec makes a notched pan so you don't have to modify anything. I am assuming this is for the 545RFE correct?

Deeper pans are good for towing etc, but honestly, for that kinda money, I would opt for installing a better trans cooler rather than spending the money on a deeeper pan. Keeping the fluid cool is most important. A deeper pan will just hold more fluid and even though there is more fluid it can still heat up and cause the same issue's a shallower pan will. Stock OEM pan is 7qts anyways which is pretty good.
Now, doing both is optimal, but unless you are maxed out your towing load, it is unnecessary if you keep up on your maintenance!

yes, the Mag Hytech has a port for temp probe. it is a 1/8" and has a pipe plug installed when it ships. just take out the plug and thread in your sending unit and your good to go.
