In Ontario octane 91 is usually free of ethanol. With octane 87 my usual consumption was 13.84 mpg and when I switched to 89 it became 15.8 mpg.

I use Shell gas in ontario because its nitrogen enriched opposed to ethanol enriched. 91 octane from a shell is pure gas

If you know for a FACT there is a station that is NOT on that list, ADD IT. It gives you that option...

Default Hammer and Weed are right

My gas mileage fell recently too with the winter weather and the blends. I dropped from a avg. 14.7 heavy foot to lucky if I get 12.5 I haven't taken a highway trip lately, but I doubt the winter blended gasoline is going to give me 17.5 to 19 like I got in the summer taking a trip to No Carolina. And another thing you want Nitrogen well take a deep breath!! The air is 79% nitrogen 20% oxygen and 1% crapola. I mean it ! I really avoid Shell stations for that Nitrogenized bullcrap gasoline marketing and run only Exxon 89 in my Hemi. Again, with the "I swear" the truck gets bad mileage on that nitrogenized nonsense.

Wow, are you guys hand calcing the mileage or going on the computer?

I'm lucky to get 16 unloaded on the highway at 75-80mph. Add my trailer and it drops to 8mph. In town, like I said, I'm lucky to get 11mph.

With the exception of an air intake and exhaust my truck is stock and run 44lbs in my tires.

Default Hemi MDS Mileage

with a calculator in my left hand, a trip odometer, and my right hand index finger.............LOL and that is how I figure my mileage. The luck of it all is in the fact that I went south on I 95 for 650 miles, get off at the gas station, get back on I-95 cruise control it 67 to 77 mph. Got 17 to 19 otherwise most of my driving is on 50 mph highway route 1 and a little around town. I have to tell you, the winters are rough down to 11.5 and summers are best. I love the truck, but at $3.20 for 89 octane it is not cheap to run. I never tried the computer overhead except for the temperature. One thing I like is gauges and 4X4 floor shifters and comfortable seats, my 2003 had great seats, these non skid mark seats leave alot to be desired.
OH yes!! You have to keep those SOCCER MOM WRANGLERS on the truck or the rolling resistance in some of these "better" tires will have an effect on your mileage.
Regards, Michael

The msd is supposed to help on mileage but in fact hurts...right?

I'm thinking of getting a tuner to take that msd out and also hoping I can tune out that traction control garbage that has no business being in a 4x4. I read here or somewhere else that the msd in the Dodge trucks can also cause alot of the exhaust drone.
