Default 2 small mods

Actually 4, I have had these lights in my garage for almost half a year now. But I finally got them put on the truck. I also added a couple carriage bolts to help clean up the look of the bumper.

Well here are the pictures...

I'm surprised there was enough room to clear those as they are some deep lights. Maybe your covers will stay red being behind the grill as mine are a pretty shade of pink now.

I gotta say, I bought mine in stainless and 130 watt. They are night/day brighter than the Hellas I took off. Mounting hardware is starting to pit, but the stainless light enclosures are still perfect. I guess for 1/4 the price of actual KCs, I can't complain. I just gotta invest in new covers and sand/paint them bases and replace the nut/bolt with stainless ones...

I haven't actually wired them up yet don't tell. But I plan on doing it today. I am not sure where I want to put my switch because I just took off this

And put a nice clean, uncut, one on. So I need to do some thinking and figuring out. I don't want to cut any plastic really. I am going for the clean factory look, for now .

You got a HomeLink in that truck? You could always go wireless and program the extra buttons on the Homelink that nobody uses like I did on my Jeep.

Other option is to wire a relay to the on/off pin on the fog light relay and run them with the fogs. I did this in my truck. Along with the mod to run the fogs with the high beams it works out pretty good for me.

I also ain't much for cutting the dash up. I've done it on some weekend play/hunt/fishing vehicles before, but I just don't like cutting up a dash that's in perfect shape...

No home link, but I might be able to get one from PCP on DT. He has everything. lol.

As for cutting the dash, I am happy that it was just this section that I cut up. Easy to swap out.

Yeah I'm actually quite surprised my truck didn't come with HomeLink, being a Laramie. Wasn't a big deal at the time, especially cause I had an open two car garage at my Georgia house I had at the time (a southern thing, LOL).
But now that I have discovered wireless relays, it'd be nice to have one in the truck like I do in the Jeep...
