Train Horn
ok, so income tax is around the corner and i want to put a train horn on my truck. who in here has a train horn on there truck. what kind do you have and where did you get it, or what kind do you recomend i purchase.
I just ordered a shocker XL from hornblasters, complete kit. It has 2 gal tank and viair 400c compressor and all hardware. I made offer on eBay and got it. They are loud as hek. Check YouTube. But Nathan train horns are the best and are actual locomotive horns, but they cost you and need alot more air. Check out hornblasters.
Hornblasters definately has some cool stuff i have a few buddies that got there's form them. My only advice is get a bigger air tank because they empty out pretty quick so it's always trying to fill up. Other than that bang for your buck they are your best bet.
Ive got a Viair 380C with a 3 gallon tank and my horns are 17" and 21" from Seige Engineering. There is a full kit on sale right now over on DT

I have a set from Hornblasters that they do not sell anymore called the Outlaws. 3 trumpets, just upgraded to a 3 gal tank with original compressor. I have them on a remote on my key chain as well as the button inside the truck. Comes in handy alot.

Hornblasters has a kit that around 500$.. its called the Conductor's Special Model 23... My brother has it on his truck and its the ****... Loud as hell... We have had much fun scaring people with this system
Unless there is a sale going on. Your best bet is to make your own kit. I bought a compressor, tank, horns, solenoid, hoses, fittings. All separately. I started with the shocker horn kit. Then I recently upgraded to the Nathan k5. All awesome horns. Just big difference in price and quality. I also started with the viair 20003. Which is like 1.5 or maybe it was 2 gallons. But anyway. Now I have 15 gallons on board with 9 horns. Lol got a lil carried away But anyway.
Compare what u actually get in each of the kits or packages to what you could piece to gather yourself. Sometimes the kits are worth it. But when I bought. I was better off getting individual parts. Also I can't stand the black tubing and compression fittings the send with most kits. I replaced it all with thick rubber hoses.
