Default interior questions

so ive been thinking about doing this for awhile and just wanted to know if anyone else has. but what i want to do is re-upholster the cloth seats in my truck to a leather seat. ive got a quad cab so id be doing the front and rear seats. but was curious as to if anyone else had done this and how much trouble it was? maybe wire in a seat heater while im at it? or if id be better off just having them done professionaly.

Most guys will but Katskins or go to Ebay and buy OEM leather skins off of another truck. There is a guy on DT right now with a set of OEM seats (QC) that are leather and the light grey color for sale for $650 i think.

I watched a set of OEM leather skins with heaters in them (RC only) sell on Ebay the other day for $140-ish plus shipping.

Take a look at mine. They are katzkins.

I love them. Mine were bought locally and I also added seat heaters.

Theres a few different options for colors, stitching, piping and various insert options.

As for install it's quite simple. pull off the old factory cloth and put these on over the seat heaters. (I recommend taking the seats out) and then run some wires and mount the switch for the seat heater (mines hidden on the side of my cupholder surround. Another thing you may look into as well is the seat coolers like in the new Laramies

I think katskinz kinda sets the mark for the aftermarket seat leather. But they charge to be the best lol

I was on the fence with it for a while but I am so glad I finally did it. I get compliments on the seats even more than the rest of the truck.

They aren't cheap but they're a fraction of the cost of actually reupholstering the seats
