Default Should I buy new tires before selling truck?

I have a 2007 1500 SLT 2WD that I will be selling but the tires aren't so great on it. It has 245/70/17 on it with the standard chrome/steel rims.

Since alot of people like to put their own rims/tires on the trucks would it be better to just lower the price by like 500 bucks instead of buying new tires?

I'm planning on a 6 month vacation to Europe and need to shed some monthly payments. I didn't quite understand your second sentence though!

Sell it as is. Unless the tires are dangerously bald it doesn't make sense to put new ones on for a sale.

Not having to put tires on the truck is a big + for buyers.... but most buyers will try to haggle with you if the tread is less than half way.... I say leave it how it is... Mark up the price about 500-1000 more than you actually want for it... that way it gives you room to play if someone does use the tire angle w/ ya.

If it is safe to use your current tires sell as is. Reducing the price during negotiation is a good idea.
