Default Brush guard + front hitch options ?

2005 1500 qc hemi 4x4

I am going to be putting a front receiver on my truck , and I am intersted in a brush guard as well. Is there a quality brush guard that will only mount to the front tow hook locations and not interfere with my front receiver ?

Do they make an all in one that doesn't make my truck look like a transformer with a 3ton bumper hanging off the front?

I had this in mind for a brush guard, but when I called for installation questions they were closed.. I like how its tucked close to the truck, and it does have optional headlight guards.

I'll be looking for the feedback you get. A brushguard is on my to do list. I have a hidden winch I dont want interfered with.

I will try to call them again tomorrow, I was 30 minutes past closing time for tonight.

One thing I noticed on this was the lack of a lower horizontal crossmember. I can guess you might have to drill through the bumper on the vertical posts for support, then cover up the hardware with the rubber "bumpers" that it has on the verticals.

This is definetly one I really like the simplicity and looks of though. Soon as I find out more info I will post up. Unless somebody chimes in who has one installed already.

What is the reasoning for installing a receiver on the front?
(sorry for being curt - but I can't figure this one out)

Mainly I am going to be using it for a bike rack. for several reasons.

I have a full topper on my truck and its hard to get bikes in and out with limited clearance, let alone secured , along with luggage.

I want the bikes in front of the truck , so when I park , they aren't hanging out where unaware people can smear them off the back of my truck with their cars.

I will be towing a boat at the same time as having the bikes, and luggage..

My truck is too high to put a basket on , then set the bikes in the basket. I would need to carry a 6' ladder with me to get them up there and secured lol.

having a bike carrier on the back Severly limits my ability to get into the back of the truck when needed on trips. I know they have swing out ones but they are quite shabby from my research.

a front receiver is only about $250. the bike carrier can be mounted front or rear then depending on the situation.

a front receiver can have a portable winch installed when needed, then removed when not

just a few things.

Warns new Gen II Trans4mer system allows for the use of the grill guard and has an optional front receiver hitch. As a matter of fact, you can have a winch mount & the receiver hitch mounted at the same time if you choose to...

Thanks - I had never thought of the versatility of having the bike rack on the front, I understand what you mean about not wanting them at the back, I feel the same way about my bikes.

The Bix Tex will not work with a front hitch.. I finally got to call them.

The Warn is a bit expensive , and isn't really a Pushing bumper, so I am on the hunt still.
