Question Inexpensive Tires/Rims options?

I would like to take off the donks (20s) on my truck, so I can have more sidewall for ride and off roading and save some money when I replace tires.

I know I can pick up a set of factory 17s for about $100 off of CL, which would be fine. But the tires for those seem to cost just the same as my 20s, which is a problem at $200+ per tire. Making the total $900+.

Are there any solutions for lower costs and decent looks? Maybe some 15 inch rims? or would those look bad?

I would like to have a 33 or 34 inch off road tire, that will not cake over with mud like my friends' BFG ATs and even my Silent Armors do. Keep in mind I have a leveling kit on currently.

Agreed, 17s are minimum. Maybe you can find some used tires on CL also. I see them all the time around here but just not in my rim size.....lol

You could as suggested buy some used wheels off of Craigs List or some place. And Discount tire has some good deals on tires.

I understand the rim size issues now, thanks guys! I guess I'll just wait for the right deal on CL.

Or you could buy some Cragar soft 8's and a set of 295/70/17 terra grapplers...that would be decently in expensive....
