Default 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 leveling kits

I am looking for a leveling kit for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. I have found several, however am not sure about the pricing. My truck uses the torsion key leveling kit. Some listed on sites such as www.suspensionconnection.com are listed at $101.96 to where some at sites such as www.justlevelingkits.com are $229.95

Looking at the descriptions, they are pretty much the same thing. So, what is the difference? Why are some so much more than others?

Pretty much all the same. However you can achieve the same thing by simply cranking the bolts on your stock keys for free...

I am doing that to my truck in ebay and i bought some from ebay for $160 with a 3" torsion 1 1/2" block for the back. I work construction and pull trailors so i am looking at putting an add a leaf. Will it lift it at all after the block or will it more just handle more weight in the bed?

If it's the "adrenaline" kit, good luck with that. EVERYONE I know who's gotten the 3" kit has blown CV shafts due to the extreme angle it places on them.

Add-a-leafs don't raise the rear much at all. You may want to consider air bags as an alternative. Higher weight capacity and maintain a factory ride when unladen, unlike add-a-leafs which will bounce you all over the road when not towing/hauling...

If you can just crank the screw on your stock torsion keys, then why are they selling you new one's? Can you tell me how to do that? I'll just save a couple hundred bucks and do it your way.

Hammer is right. Put air bags on the 1500. I had firestone ride rites cost about 280 at a suspension shop and 400 at napa. About a 2 hour DIY install. Then you can set the air pressure wherever you like. You will have to drain some air off when you unhook the trailer unless you get longer shocks, because it makes for a very stiff ride.
