Who all uses balancing beads in their tires?
As the title asks, who all uses balancing beads? My 36s are A/T's and two shops never could get them perfect and always blamed the tires. There is a shop I know that does road force balancing but charges $25 per tire??? WTF??
So anyway, I did some researching and ended up buying about 20oz in balancing beads and a bottle to put them in through the valve stem. The manufacture only calls for 4oz per my size tires. So i spent about $20 in all which I didnt think was bad.
But how well do these work?

I've never heard bad things about them. Only time i've heard not to use them is if you have TPMS sensors.. which luckily for you, you don't. So I would say give them a chance. Worst case scenario you have to have a shop dismount, remove and remount.
very odd that A/T's wouldn't be able to be balanced. I've heard of that with really aggressive mud terrains but not A/T

weedahoe, Ramstrat just had new 40"s put on his truck and they used em, they were hopping before, now it smooth you just gotta get used to the noise when you stop you can usually hear the beads fall, but other than that they seem to work well....
