Default Idea on pushbar/ light bar

I am planning on making a nice little pushbar for my truck, somthing beefy enough to to push cars and run into stuff if the world ends or something haha. Anyway i am going to use my front tow hitches so the whole thing can be removable but I want to use some thick material also. let me know what you think of the simple design.

The color will be black and i have an option to add light tabs or even lights at the end to light up the ground.

I also think the simple idea would work very well. If I were designing something like this though, I think I'd bring it down a little lower for better protection. With your rig sitting up so high, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, you wouldn't only be pushing trucks around, but most likely smaller SUV's and Sedans.

I'm trying to figure out those hitches, I take it that's a personal mod? I was actually thinking about a Warn Trans4mer for something like that as a major reason.

I'm looking for a good push bar myself, that I can mount lights to. I'm more thinking in the case of hitting stuff/carjacking though.

Most of the guards I've seen seem like they would do more damage than nothing at all if you did actually hit something. I looked at bumper replacements, but it seems like it would really bod down the front suspension on a 1500.

Just one of several things on my "Must Find" list...

maybe add a bar to follow the lower bumper line so it kinda outlines the bumper

I like the removeable aspect as well. I made a simple light bar for use on my Grand Cherokee to be on there the 90% of the time that the winch isn't. I opted for 3/8" flat stock though, because I had some door trim laying around that would work well to dress it up if I stayed with flat stock. I was simply making a light bar, nothing to push or hold any real weight.

Something about the angle of that picture makes it look like a Ford exploder. Maybe it's just me.
