Any battteries similar to Optima??
i used to have two marine batteries in my old 6.5L chev those batteries worked for a long time had no troubles starting the truck on cold winter days. till one day i was working on my truck made a mistake ended up in the hospital for a couple weeks. cops had impounded my truck still don't know why but when i got it back the batteries were dead and wouldn't take any charge. so i replaced with the optima red tops they work pretty good but don't seem to put out as much as the marine batteries ever did they were getting pretty old too and they sat in the truck for over a year before i bought it never started or moved when i bought it the truck fired right up. ill see if i can find the ones i had online.
I think I've settled on Diehard Platinum battery...It is a relabel of the Odyssey battery for $100 less...After the suggestion of Odyssey, I did some research on it, and it sounds just like the original Optima batteries that I heard so much about, or maybe even better. Plus all the reviews on the Diehard were good, only two people had negative things to say, of which one sounds full of $h!t...saying he bought 12 of them in the past few years and that every single one of them was junk.
Still debating on the Big 3 upgrade. Don't see how much benefit I'd gain for the cost...anyone have any thoughts/reasoning behind this??
