Plasti-dip?

Plasti-dip?
I see a lot of people like to use plasti-dip on this forum. I dont really know anything about it. Can you guys give me some info? I looked at a can of it at Lowes yesterday. It says it is a rubberized coating. Is this what everyone is using? If so, does it have a rubbery feel to it after applied? Is it durable? Is it hard to clean? Thanks for any info.

Yep that's the one, but it's about $2.50 per can cheaper at Home Depot, at least in my area.
The texture is kinda like rubber, best way I can describe it is it's like the grips they put on hand tools (which is basically why this product was originally produced).
I'd say the durability is about halfway between paint and a spray on bed liner product. I've found it to be very resistand to road debris and scuffing, but it cuts easily with a knife (which is one nice thing about it, easy to remove if you don't like it).
Cleaning is really no different then how you would go at plastic molding or cladding that comes on many vehicles.
I have it on my rock rails on my Jeep 4x4 and after over a year it still looks like the day I sprayed it on (3 coats)...
