Default fiberglass sub boxes

I'm trying to find out if people would be interested in custom made 'under back seat' fiberglass enclosures.

Thank you for the reply. Does anybody realize how terrible that "foxbox" is? It puts the cone of the speaker right into the bottom of seat! If you don't use a grill, the speaker cone hits the seat and miss-aligns the voice coil and scratches it. No telling when it will happen, but the speaker will eventually die.plus there is not enough room for the air on the front side of cone to travel. I understand some resistance is good, but holy crap.I know it probably sounds ok, but anything is better than nothing, right?

check mine out, https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...m-buildup.html

The subs facing up is the only way to do it, unless you take out a seat and you can have an 18 if you want.

Correct, but the foxbox is 2" (or more) taller than it has to be and that's what causes the problem with seat, plus you have to use a spacer for the seat and it still smashes speaker into seat.

You do relize that the bottom of the seats are just loose fabric, there frame of the seat is no were near the sub. That being said, I had a problem where the fabric was wearing on the rubber surround but that was only when people sit back there. There is plenty of space back there.

That cone is moving so fast, that little bit of fabric is all it takes.nothing should ever touch cone.I'm 40 now with 26 years in car audio.I've seen alot of bad things from poorly designed systems.I'm not tryin to start a pissin match with anybody, just relaying facts.

it has nothing to do with the speed of the woofer... its the excursion that you are limiting and it will cause you to burn up those coils fast as hell
