They don't generate the heat like normal bulbs do to melt the snow...My Mustang and my old B2300 had LEDs in all the light housings...Was thinking about doing this on my 04 but was afraid of the turn signal issue.

Exactly. I wanted to do LED tails in my truck but as mentioned they dont generate heat. Drive for a bit, little snow builds up on the back of your truck and covers your tails, next thing you know you are rear ended because somebody couldn't see your tails/signals.

I just mentioned it for the guys mentioning they want to switch to LED's. Not sure if any of them live where it snows, but it's not an issue alot of people think about.

haha i dont think we have to worry about snow covering the backs of our trucks very often

but talking about the third brake light being led and the rest normal bulbs alot of cars come from the factory like this... one that really sticks out is the impala led third brake light and normal tails

I just wish I could get normal bulbed tail lights all the way around...boo. O well. We get a lot of snow here in the winter, so maybe LED all the way around is a bad idea. I have a buddy with a LED light bar and he says when it gets really cold it barely even lights up.
