So I was screwin around at work and went and pulled a radiator for an 04 ram 5.7. and was going through the fans and found this....

you may need to upgrade the fuse though. I think it comes with a 40 amp, and a lot of those 2 speed fans will draw upwards of 60-70 amps.

I had that same controller and on low speed it was fine. But on high speed it melted the controller. Yes I upgraded both the incoming 12v wire as well as the fuse and fuse holder. I cut that MAXI fuse holder off and put on a AGU fuse holder with a 60A fuse. I also replaced the 40A/60A SPDT relay with a 60/80A relay thinking all these upgrades would help. It didnt. I had Summit replace the controller and I sold the brand new one they sent me.
I went back with the cheaper Hayden 3647 single speed dual fan controller and left the wire for the second fan disconnected and run the fan on low speed and no issues.
