Default ebay exhaust kits

I was looking at these flowmaster 50 series kits off ebay. My last exhaust was done at the shop but I would like to save some money. I don't have a lift. I have a dremel and that is about it for power tools. Do you think I could do this kit in my garage or should I rent a space at Andrews Air Force base? It say something about wheel size being tight. Does anyone know why? I plan on putting on 20 with 35in tires would this be a problem?

Your link doesn't work. I would look into a better system like a stainless Magnaflow.
If your exhaust has been customized by a muffler shop, a bolt-on cat-back may not be a bolt-on deal anymore.
I got my complete Magnaflow cat-back for under $420 shipped to my door from www.performancepeddler.com Just shoot them a lowball offer like $300 and they will counter offer their best price.

The one from the muffler shop was on my last truck. I have the stock set up on my current truck hence 2.0. Thanks Jon

I recently got a complete cat back Magnaflow fromhttp://hottexhaust.com picked up at the Canadian distributor for 380$.

Google hottexhaust checkout codes and apply the best % to your order, they also have the make offer option.

With this you will know it fits like it should.

I would be leery of a place that says Magnaflow in the title, has a picture of a Magnaflow,

Then clearly says in the description, Flowmaster 3 times. It is aluminized pipe so it will last a few years, but not near as long as stainless. Pipes. The other reason that I went Magnaflow is that their cat-back kit has a lifetime warranty.

Also, the true Magnaflow kits are different for the 04/05 than the 06-08 but yet, their kit says 94-08??????

I called them and asked they said they were typos and they every kit is different for different kits. I think I am just going to do what you recommended and get the magnaflow from the place you bought it from. My next question is: what do I need to install the kit?

Just my 2cents, the single side exhaust actually has higher performance and fewer parts to fail down the road. Plus it saves $$ now.

I personally don't like the straight rear exit either without the bumper fit to the system.
Just something to think about.

As far as tools, you may want a floor jack, jack stands, air tools are a plus but are not needed, you may need a torch and something to assist in cutting off your old intermediate pipe, the dremell a hammer & punch may work. The new one just needs to be put in place, adjusted tightened, and retightened in a few weeks.

You'll love the sound for sure with the Magnaflow.

No special tools. Just used a 15mm deepwell socket for the clamps and a rubber mallet to get the stock stuff apart. Took me a little over an hour to swap mine out without jacking up the truck. I did use a zip tie to hold the rear axle vent hose away from the driver side tail pipe. it was a little closer than I liked.
