The Diablosport Predator made the best increase on mine. I'm averaging about 18mpg in mixed driving right now.

But, it's a truck and will never get great mileage.

yep... I have a super chip programmer and it seems to help. It really depends on what I'm doing though, It has an option for economy that allows you to run regular unleaded and it eases off the power a bit but in turn increases gas mileage, when I'm towing a 4klb boat, I set it for towing and it diffidently helps out as i only waste about 1/4 tank hauling the boat about an hour and a half away roughly 80 mi. On the flip side the programmer also comes with the performance option which i usually set it to but during these high gas priced times I've held off on it.

Search 'taurus e-fan', its the most cost effective mod. Chip is good as well as intake/exhaust. Running smaller rims and tires will help, as well as lowering your truck.

One of these days I should get off my *** and do a DIY for gas saving mods

Tuner helps a little (SC here), headers were good, gears helped a good bit in town driving but hurt a little bit on the freeway, but the best by far was my efan...

How hard is it to do the efan mod? Is it reliable? I use the old drive the motorcyle mod?
