I dont regret buying them. They totally changed the look of the truck. But if you dont have some sort of protection, whether its the 3m tape like I did or vinyl laid over the paint, they will etch the paint.

Before I went the other way with my truck, I was going to order bushwackers and add a small pinstripe probably 1/2" thick of clear vinyl where the flare meets the paint to protect the paint from damage. It was Matt's idea, but a damn good and easy one.

That looks awesome! Just curious why you went with the Pro Comp leveling kit and not the PA combo kit that includes the lift kit. Isn't it cheaper that way?

I actually put the level on about a year and 1/2 ago. I just did the body lift / wheels and tires recently. I really couldnt tell you wich way would be cheaper. Thanks for the compliment.

Now that is a meaty lookin truck. Of course I have to give you my two cents though! If that were my truck, I'd consider doing to all the chrome parts (bumpers and bull bar) what you did to the side steps. I'd also consider debadging/de-decalling the whole thing to give it a mean "I will eat you if you make eye-contact with me" look. But looks great as-is!

Thanks Frank...actually my next moves are to have the bumpers and bull bar line-x coated to match the nerf bars. Also gonna black out the exhaust and tips with bbq high heat grill paint. Then the grill frame and headlights are going to the dark side also. Time and money....will post pics when i make more progress.

something cheap that gives a good look is the pillar blackout. I like that on a colored truck that you are trying to black out. Just some black vinyl
