Question rack and pinion leak

My 2002 1500 4x4 rack and pinion has leaked since 40K or so. I put Lucas stop leak in it and fixed it as well as putting better clamps on the hose that was also leaking. Every once in a while the rack leaks a little and the Lucas reseals. Cold morning start ups makes the pump groan some but it has worked for 103K. The question is, are there improved racks for these trucks? Why put on another natorious prone to leak rack?

Most any reman rack should be good. I've never had any issues with them.

I don't know of any 3rd party ones out there. Funny, but some guys go thru racks like you'd go thru socks and others have them for 150k miles plus with nary a leak.

Even though I have a lift and large tires, mine has not even remotely sweated any fluid (yet)...
