Default Center Console

Hello Everyone,
New to the site and had a question. I tried searching on here and google and after some time gave up, so I hope this hasn't beaten to death.
Anyway, I just got a 2003 Ram 1500 and it has a middle seat/arm rest in the front. I was wondering if there is a different version of this arm rest that is more functional. I've seen other vehicles that have a storage area and some cup holders when the console is down and still offer the seat back support when upright. Even if this product is not a factory option or is made by a 3rd party, I'm willing to try anything.

Thanks.

Mine has no cup holders. They are on a flip-out panel in the dash. I think the 2nd gen may have what you are looking for. Not sure if it will fit a 3rd gen though.

I don't think even the second gens had cupholders in the armrest (at least not any of the second gens we've had at work or ones I've driven in have)....unless the manual transmissions did. I know manual trucks have slightly different cupholders because the location in the automatic trucks wont work.

Mine is the base model truck but it does have an automatic tranny. The cup holders are currently in the bottom of the dash. I don't really want to put it a full center console in place of the middle seat, I just want a seat fold that has a storage compartment that can be more useful than the one currently in.

Thanks.

Oh yours doesn't open at all...I thought they all at least had armrest storage.

Go by a salvage yard and find a truck with a "clean" interior. Easiest and likely cheapest solution.

Default I was Afraid

Yeah, I was afraid of that. The salvage yards here are rip offs and usually I find what I need online for much cheaper even if it's new. I will try calling a couple to see if they have anything, and maybe a couple of u-pull it places, but my hopes are not high. Thanks for your help guys.
