NEW Here.. Lifting help
I recently bought an 06 1500 2wd and want to do like a 2-3'' lift to fit 35" tires. My problem is that I'm having trouble finding a lift. Will 4wd spindles fit on a 2wd? Pictures would be appreciate too. Thanks!
Welcome to the site.
Your best bet is the 3" chassistech spindles, as mentioned above. $270 shipped from ebay, you and a friend could install them in around 4hrs with the right tools. If you do nothing to the rear, the 3" spindle is basically dead-on level after an alignment.

you dont have to get new shocks but if I were you, I would get the monroe coilovers for the rear. They will raise it about 1.25-1.5in which would not only make it level, but also make towing a little easier on the handling/stance

did the chassistech sway bar issue ever get fixed? they're a lot cheaper than the CST spindles which do not include shocks. 4 wheel parts says i need longer shocks, and should get a 1" block and rear u bolts.. is this true? they're total price for everything including rims and tires is $3700. too much for me!
4 Wheel Parts is like going to a dealership to buy a vehicle. They start out at retail and stupid, crazy high labor prices but will deal if you push them.
They quoted me $2500 for my gears, master install kit, installation and an Auburn LSD which I laughed at. It took 3 trips there and a few printouts of prices I found online for the parts, but they ended up coming all the way down to $1700 + tax for the job. That's $800 someone who didn't know any better would have over-paid for the job. As a result, even though I got a good deal in the end, I don't buy from them unless I need something pretty bad and can just drive the 30 minutes and get it.
$3700 is crazy high, but might be you wanted some big, honkin' expensive wheels too. Without knowing exactly what you quoted, we can't say how out of line they were.
You know you can always look into a 3" PA body lift kit for about $350 and install it yourself. Not a hard job. A weekend thing with basic tools, a jack, jack stands and a helper would be nice. You want a little more height and it to sit level? Then add a $100 set of coil spacers up front. That'll give you roughly 5" and will look nice with 35s...
