Blue flames???

It is stock. and it is a hemi not a diesel. all that there is a 4 inch pipe curving out from were the start of the muffler is. ill even take a video of it and post that as well. we went for a drive last night and it still does it. it only shoots out the flame when downshifting around 115 120 km/h and the the flames starts as soon as it shifts into the next gear. this is the only time it ever does it. sounds really weird when the flame starts. Completely stock from the manifolds to the cats and factory y pipe and the first resinator then it was just cut off right before the muffler and turned out. there are no codes or anything. still runs like it always has. and for fuel it was running 87 octane 7-11 fuel both times we have done it. would it be the 10% ethonal in the fuel to cause this?

Let back up again. Again, the blue part of a flame is THE most hot. IF he was literally blowing fire from his exhaust valves and exhaust pipes, the manifolds would likely be glowing. He would burn up the O2 sensors and damage his cats. Im willing to bet the wires on the O2s would be melted from the heat transfer and dissipation through the O2s acting as cooling fins. IF it was blowing blue flames through the pipes from the front of the engine and MAINTAINING the high temp all the way through the length of the pipe, his engine would not be running as good as it is.
The roaring sound i hear in the vid must be mud tires if he has a gasser.
But sorry, he is not running that from a stock truck.
Dont take this the wrong way but either he is misleading to you, or you are misleading us.

Yea I am with Weed on this one, it doesn't add up.
Clearly if it is a flame it isn't stock, simple as that. Weed explained what all is necessary for this to occur, and the damage that would ensue. You claim that his truck runs fine with no codes, yet clearly there would be components that would be damaged (specifically O2 sensors) if there are flames running the length of his exhaust system.
If you insist that it is stock, take photo's of the exhaust and a video with the truck sitting still and or a better camera man to prove it.
Not trying to be difficult, but other members have explained how and why this isn't adding up. If you show some proof it would be more believable.

Sorry bro, I know you are trying but Im still not buying it. For me to believe, you would have to have ONE non-edited non-stop video showing the full exhaust from manifold to exit in full detail and then go out and run the same struck (again, not-stop non-edited video) and see some flames. And even THEN, the physics that I know, would still tell me not to believe.

^^^ Right. And please tell everyone how short that exhaust pipe was on that hog. 3-4ft maybe? Thats far less than 12+ feet on a truck.
A burst of a flame is one thing (I.E. backfire, ECT). This truck is clearly shown driving 100ft+ with a continuous flame. Big difference there also.
