Default Hello all

Hey everyone. I am new to the dodge world been driving Chevy's all my life, but since that is all I work on I have decided to try a greener less plastic, crank squeaking, tranny dropping, pasture. I got a 05 Dodge Daytona has 62000 miles on it. I got it from a older couple that traded it in besides from a little hay under the seats it has no flaws in the interior and no dents just a few small scratchs. I have all the services logs on it and it has had no major problems. My first of many questions to come is what oil would you recommend running in it? I use Mobile 1 full synthetic in the fleet at work and have had nothing but great luck with it. Would I benifit from using a full synthetic in the Hemi? I will be sticking with the 5W20 since that is all that has ever been in it. Any Thoughts? Thanks

Welcome to the forum. The best forum online, there isn't a question you can come up with that can't get answered here. I too drove a Chevy all my life until January of this year and I am lovin' my 2006 Ram. There are alot of helpful folks here with alot of knowledge.

Yes running a full synthetic is a good idea, i have used Mobil 1 and have had no issues. I think the biggest benefit you will find is running either Royal Purple or Amsoil, not only in the engine, but all your other fluids as well...

Can't go wrong with Mobil1. It is the oil used in the HiPo SRT engines.

I just have mine changed every 3K with dino oil at the dealer.

Welcome aboard o.o/

I've used Mobile 1 in my engines for 5 or 6 years now, and I've never had an issue. I'm more concerned about the filter than the oil though. Haven't settled on a brand yet.
