I have 2007 Ram 4x4 SLT with no front tow hooks ... I popped the plastic piece out in the front bumper and seen that there is not any tow hook mounts there on the bumper mounts.. I am thinking of buying this ...

and just drilling holes in the bumper mounts and then trimming the plastic and putting it back in ..

I see Smitty Built makes one for my truck but I like the look of this one better ..

Anyone here do something like this to a 2007 ??

 

ive got a light bar on mine and it is made by hildebrant and didnt need drilling

 

Thanks.. That doesn't look to bad at all.. What type of lkights did you get ?
I though oabout getting 2 of the KC HILITES fog off road and 2 of the long range driving.. Did you mix them up like that or get all the same type? Did these bolt to the bumper mount behind the plastic instert? Mine just has two large holes or do I need to drill some ?

Thanks for the reply .. so your truck is an 2007 without factory tow hooks ?

Mine doesn't even ahve a place for tow hooks .. I attached a picture of the inside (back) of my bumper mounts .. does this look the same as yours ?

I know the brackets changed some from 06 to 07 due to the tow hook mounts being taken off of the 07s

 

My truck is an 04. It didn't come with hooks but had holes in the bumper for them.

 

Do you think there is enough room to have full size off road lights ? Yours look like may a slim version ? Are those "fog" or "driving" off road lihts ? I can't decide on what to get
