I hate to see that and not to beat a dead horse but I also would have expected that bull bar to take more of a hit than that. On the plus side now you have a reason for some mods if you needed one.

It's my fault. That's how Texas works if you run into the back of someone for any reason other than someone ran into the back of you and you were pushed into the person in front of you. I have full coverage though, so insurance is taking care of it with a $500 deductible. That "bull bar" was garbage. Should just be called a light bar. I should have known better by how light it was when I installed it alone.

I wanted a full replacement bumper, like the ones here or even better, here; but my insurance won't even let me pay the difference. Either I let the insurance cover the cost and get all OEM equipment, or I fix it all myself, which I can't do right now. I thought about the SRT10 hood as well, but could only find FRP and CF replacements. Same deal with the hood and grille though, OEM or nothing.

I will not knock my insurance company for that though, and I will say, for anyone in the service, USAA is one of, if not the best insurance you can get. Very polite to work with, and they took care of everything for me. They set everything up with the body shop I selected, called the rental company for me, and even setup the towing without any interaction on my part. I couldn't be happier with the service.

Stealership won't sell you an SRT10 hood without an SRT10 VIN.

Been with USAA for 10 years now, auto insurance, home loans, vehicle loans. They are a very good company and are open now to people outside the service. They took care of us when someone got into the back of the wifes Jeep. Like you said, theyll take care of ya.

I've been with USAA for going 4 years for everything and I couldn't be more pleased with their service. Awhile back I didn't get paid for a bit while I was still in the service and they kept my insurance from going invalid and being cancelled. They really have gone above and beyond with me. Even helped when it came time for my divorce.

The Westins from 10-15 years ago would have more dented and not so much crinkled.

Might wanna go for a little more "beef" if you decide to replace it...
Great observation. You're right. It looks like cheap tinfoil. I would imagine the thick rot-iron steel one my buddy has would have saved you at least your hood.

I'm purchasing a complete replacement bumper as soon as I get my truck back. They replaced my hood with an aftermarket, not sure if it is steel like the original or not. Another requirement of the insurance company, they will only pay for OEM parts if an aftermarket equivalent is not available. Bummer.

Truck was supposed to be done tomorrow, now they're telling me the 13th. I am so done with this damn rental Impala!
