which tire??......................

I had hankooks on my old 03 dakota, worst tires ever in the snow. I couldnt get out of the driveway... Put on some general grabber AT2s and they were a serious improvement. Overall though, my mickey thompson's are the best tire i've ever owned. I've got 30k on them and they are at about 70-80% tread left - I'll get at least 40k more out of them at this rate. Of course the MTZs may be overkill for a road tire, but if they speak as an example for MT quality, then there you have it.

I dont usually chime in on these threads bcause opinions R like @55#0135, everyone has one. But I have to express my dissatisfaction with my Hancook Ventus AS tires. Absolutely suck in snow and wet conditions. I will be looking at Coopers and Generals next time around.

But they do appear to have Cooper tires, as well as Nitto and Generals which are all excellent brands. I know why they offer free shipping too, the same Terra Grappler (165/70/17) I put on my Grand Cherokee I paid $127.50 a pop for locally, they want $165...
In a 20" tire, that ain't gonna happen. All the "kiddies" with their big, honkin' 20" wheels have the price of big, useless 20" tires at a premium, which is ridiculous since there is less material in a 20" tire of the same diameter of a 17" tire. In a 17" tire, there'd be a LOT of choices in your price range...
