Default Ram 2500 straight front axle history

Does Dodge still produce Ram 2500 with a straight front axle? What is the history on these and were there production years with better systems (snow plow use) than others?

unless you want to spend about 2000 on a good set of ball joints, tie rods and track bar, Id go with a Ford.I've owend a cummins and it had death wobble. My dad owns a snow plow company and I wouldnt let him push with a dodge.

Ford ??? problem thier is thier engines are junk. AS a Ram 2500 owner, I agree with ball joint issues and non serviceable u joints, as a ex Ford owner, My next truck verry well could be a GM, But they have issues as well...

One or two auo parts builders supply all the big three with u joints, front suspension components, thiers not one HD duty big 3 pick up that is the best.

If thier will ever be a day the likes of hyundia ( love my 2011 elantra touring gls sport ), toyyota, or hino, nissan get into the HD truck market ( they build HD trucks in othier markets ) I will consider a new truck buy 100% out of spite.

1500 Rams are by no means free and clear of issues, were screwd in the north America!

well i used to have a 2500 cummins. Look at the steering components of a ford to the 2500. The ford puts it to shame. The 7.3 was a great engine as well as the front ends. I loved my cummins, expensive to fix. I did all the front end work myself and it was still 1000+

I agree with the 7.3 power stroke, last great ford-navstar engine, Put a dodge powerstrain in a ford truck and away ya go.
