Default replacing some parts.. Any suggestions on shocks

SO my 08 has 54000 miles and Im going to start repacing a few things.

I just ordered new wheel bearings, break rotors and pads.

now Need to find a good set of front shocks at a good price, im wanting to lift it 2 inches to fit bigger tires on in a few months when i replace my tires, so a shock that can still fit with a 2 inch lift. but im thinking im doing a strut extention for price reasons.

Also not sure if it matters but the rims im going to order are 18 inch

A two-inch lift won't require new shocks. I finally replaced my OEMs last spring at 110K. The Monroe Reflex I put on have done well so far.

4x4 or 4x2? I assume 4x4 since you mentioned struts. If you're only lifting 2", you should check out the Bilstein adjustable struts. They have 0-2" of lift, so pretty much exactly what you're looking for. If 4x2, you won't need new shocks for 2" of lift.

I got my Bilsteins at www.eshocks.com for a great price. High pressure gas shocks that help keep the tires planted to the ground.
