I would never fault anybody for trading up to a 4x4, although I really dug the look of your Ram.

None of the current trucks do a lot for me looks wise. Like you, I'm not a big fan of the front end of the 4th Gens. The Furds and Chebys look to boxy to me.

Good luck with it. I hope you have better luck than my last new Furd purchase, it dropped a piston on me with 14,000 miles on it (5.4 Triton). But some good came out of it - I didn't trust the rebuild and traded it on my first Ram, a '98 RCSB 5.9 4x4...

Damn you Matt! Haha, hope you like the new truck man. I looked at the new then 09 F150's before I bought my 08, like you said, money played a role in my purchase and I don't regret it a single second. I hope that you don't either. Take care man, hope to still see ya around every now and then.

Nooooo! Our 4x2 front-man is gone LoL
My father drives a very similar furd, but I just can't get over that front end.
Our '06-08 RAM is just too damn sexy for me to trade out of yet, but I hope you have many happy miles in your new truck.

haha brandon, sorry to jump ship!

and like I said, i think the Dodge is a better looking truck but I needed a reliable truck that I can take on trips, pass up at least every OTHER gas station, and not worry about if its gonna have a problem next week.

I actually have been kinda looking at the Challys as well! Always an option

I can relate, my 07 Quad Hemi has been awful. With the problems I have already had with only 30K miles, I worry about the future with this truck. Hopefully Dodge has made significant improvements to the fourth gen., especially the front ends on the 1500's.

Good luck with your new F-150!

It's your fault that you put such a big lift and tires on it. Now if you would have decided against lifting it and lowered it a little, you would still have a reliable truck that you could take on long trips and get much better gas mileage to boot! haha, just razzin ya man.

I like the new fords, and you have a 4x4 now. So I am jealous. Glad that you were able to sell your old truck quickly and with ease. Congrats on the new vehicle.

Yea I hope it lasts a long time too.

And lifting it and other mods did decrease mileage and reliability so I wanted a fresh start. I really just did not like the new rams
