Default predator + CAI = holy ****

Did the first real mods to my 03 RCSB hemi last weekend. I ordered the diablo predator and a k&n FIPK off summit for like 570$. was literally at my house the next day. Although... I do only live like an hour away from summit's tallmadge ohio location. Anyway, put on the FIPK and installed the 93 octane tune after filling up with a fresh tank of 93. I have to say... those 2 mods combined really woke this thing up. It was always pretty quick 0-60 but after 60 it would kind of hit a wall. now that "brick wall" effect is gone. It pulls hard up to 100. I have to say... I wasnt really expecting [I]that[I] much out of these 2 mods... but now im glad I spent the money.

4:56 gears in the near future
inertia heads and cam when I get my tax returns.

Going to have to really look at what you can do cam/head wise with your 03', tuning is a big problem with them as not a lot of tuners support them (meaning AFR can be adjusted but rpm and idle cant) so it makes a lot of cam/head combos not work.

Must not be too hard to impress you. Unless the CAI is a Vararam or that type, it's getting you about 4 HP to the rear wheels.

As far as the Predator goes, I put one on my truck for a week. Without tranny support for my '04 it felt like mush. I felt a little gain with the 93 octane tune, but nothing to write home about. Could be that I've had tranny support with my SC so I knew what firmer tranny pressure and less torque management feels like.

Now I've felt a Diablo on an '07 WITH tranny support and it's comparable to the SC. plus can be custom tuned. Whole 'nuther story. To me it's the tranny pressure and ditching TM that gives you that snapped back head when you give it gas. The 20 or so HP gains by itself just isn't enough.

But on an '03/'04, sorry just did NOTHING for me...

The power that you feel is definitely from the tuner and not the CAI. But, I'm glad your happy with the results.

im aware of this. Ive already talked to the guy from inertia. the regular performance heads and a less aggressive cam will do just fine.

i only really tested that a few times, but before the tuner and CAI i think the best i got was 6.5, just did it again lastnight with a stopwatch a few times and I think the best I got was a 6 seconds flat 0-60
but again, i cant say these results are accurate. hitting the stop watch button and then trying to hit it again as your looking at the spedo is a little harder than what it sounds like. all I can say for sure is there is definately an improvement.

before I did any mods at all I took it out to summit motorsports park on amateur night and made 3 passes and I think the best pass was a 15.2. i was planning on going again, but I think this friday might be the last night they have for test and tunes... so we'll see but id like to go.
